How to choose your civil wedding outfit: the complete guide

There are no real rules for a civil wedding.
Some brides want a white dress. Others prefer a short dress, a jumpsuit or a two-piece. What matters most is choosing an outfit you feel good in and that suits your style.
Short dress, long dress or jumpsuit?
The short dress
A good choice for city hall. It is easy to wear and lets your shoes and accessories stand out.
It is also an outfit you can easily wear again after the wedding.
The long dress
If you love long dresses, you can absolutely wear one for your civil wedding.
A simple cut and a beautiful fabric can be enough. You don't need an elaborate dress to look great.
The jumpsuit
Not a dress person? Consider a jumpsuit.
It gives you a bridal look while keeping a more personal style. With the right shoes and a few pieces of jewellery, it can be perfect for city hall.
Which colour?

A soft shade between white and beige: no optical white, nothing too yellow, just an ivory that is easy to wear.

Think about the season
In summer, a light dress or a flowing jumpsuit can be very comfortable.
For an autumn or winter wedding, think about what you will wear with your outfit: a jacket, a coat or a nice knit.
Don't choose an outfit just for the ceremony. You will probably wear it for several hours, sometimes all day.
What about accessories?
No need to overdo it.
A good pair of shoes, a few pieces of jewellery and a bag can be enough.
If the outfit is already detailed, keep accessories simple. If you choose a very minimal dress, you can go for more jewellery or bolder shoes.
